Could a fully healthy Mayfield look like he did in 2020? Certainly. Mayfield played well in 2020, leading the Browns to the playoffs, and didn't play well last year, but I would contend that much of that had to do with Mayfield playing through a shoulder injury. You probably know what happened in Cleveland - Mayfield fell out of favor, prompting the Browns to throw a guaranteed $230 million at Deshaun Watson to become their franchise quarterback. Could he resurrect his career with the Seahawks? 1 overall pick who hasn't come close to meeting expectations, sparking non-stop controversy. From a purely entertainment standpoint, I'd love to see Mayfield in a Seahawks' uniform. Carroll might say that Smith and Eason will battle Lock for the job, but everyone will mutter "Sure, Pete" under their breath, knowing that he's spewing coach-speak. Didn't he win a Super Bowl with the Eagles? And wasn't he the starting quarterback last year when the Bears beat the Seahawks 25-24 at Lumen Field?įor a coach who constantly preaches "always compete," he doesn't seem to be applying that to the quarterback position this year. Or what about Nick Foles, released recently by the Bears. If he didn't feel this way, don't you think he would have pursued Baker Mayfield by now? Don't you think we might have heard some reports somewhere linking the Seahawks with rumored interest in Jimmy Garoppolo? I firmly believe that Carroll thinks he can do big things with Lock by building a stronger foundation on both sides of the ball. Personally I'd rather have a backup who isn't familiar with the system but has more talent. Carroll likes him because he knows the system. Well, someone does, and that's Geno himself, especially with incentives that could earn him as much as $7 million this year. Just don't try selling Smith as the starter. I don't get the Geno love - he's 13-21 as a starter in his career - but as long as he's the backup, OK. Nor did the team grab some of the bigger available free-agent quarterbacks earlier this offseason. Guessing it would take a fifth-round pick to get the Eagles' attention, but it doesn't seem like the Seahawks have any interest in acquiring him.Ĭarroll's perfectly comfortable in his camp because the Seahawks did not choose a quarterback in last week's draft. He's currently listed as the backup to Jalen Hurts, but the Eagles also have Reid Sinnett and undrafted free agent Carson Strong as possible backup candidates. I don't know what it would take to pry Minshew away from the Eagles. knows more about football than I do, but couldn't we still see if that's true or not? Bring him in to compete with Lock and see if he's a better option as a bridge QB or a long-term starter? Granted, the NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah once told me that you'll never get Super Bowl confetti with Minshew at quarterback, and I'm guessing D.J. Minshew has been a competent NFL quarterback at Jacksonville and Philadelphia, and it's fair to wonder how he'd fare as a full-time starter, particularly in a Carroll offense that wouldn't ask the quarterback to do too much. At least he seems to be able to let the negative attention that comes with the job roll off his back. However, it's more than that. Happy 4th to all but especially to the intern at the □□□❤️12sĪ lot goes into playing quarterback well at this level and Lock still has work to do. Yesterday Lock himself got into the game, but he kept it classy – wishing everyone a happy Fourth of July, especially the intern working for the U.S. Metcalf stopping in for an appearance at one point. The conversation continued for some time, with Seahawks star D.K. Open, one fan attempted to roast tennis by claiming it’s not a real sport, only to get dunked on by a Twitter intern who suggested he won’t enjoy watching Drew Lock play this year. Seahawks Twitter was in the news over the holiday weekend for doing what it does best: embarassing decent, normal Seahawks fans all over the world. The beauty of layers is they allow to carefully, invisibly, composite images together to create photorealistic effects, or to merge photographs with different subjects. If you can imagine it, and you’re prepared to take the time to learn, you can do just about anything to a photograph that you can imagine using Photoshop.įrom a photography standpoint, the ability to create layers, including adjustment layers, is unbelievably useful, and a feature that seems unlikely to ever make it to Lightroom. What can you do in Photoshop that you can't do in Lightroom? Lightroom also has some unbelievably powerful cataloguing and organizational tools – it could be argued that if all it included were these, it would still be worth the price of admission. Lightroom makes edits in much broader strokes – while it includes some per-pixel tools – a healing brush and a clone stamp, for example – its strength is generally in its ability to take an image and very quickly refine it. If there’s a single pixel you want to change, Photoshop will let you do that. That means that while you can make changes to your image as a whole, you don’t have to. When it comes to editing photos, Photoshop is what’s known as a per-pixel editor. That makes it almost outrageously powerful, particularly considering the price (more on that later), but it also means there are lots of tools that photographers will need either rarely, or in some cases, literally never. Photoshop might have the word “photo” in its name, but over the years it’s grown from being a straightforward image editor to being an incredibly flexible program for illustration, page layout, video editing, animation and a few more things besides. Photoshop and Lightroom Classic are both image editors, but they work in very different ways. It’s less powerful, though, and those serious enough about their photo editing to be considering Photoshop as a photo editor should only really be thinking about Lightroom Classic – which is what we’re doing here. Lightroom – without “Classic” appended to it – is a cloud application great for those who want to edit on a tablet as well as a desktop or a phone. Lightroom Classic is the full-fledged desktop application, complete with image editing, the catalogue and so on. Slightly confusingly, Lightroom Classic – which is what we’re talking about here – differs a bit from what is now simply called Lightroom. Even if it’s necessary, it never gets easier. Quebec-1 is significant as the only accessible Peacekeeper Missile Alert Facility left in the world. The original CBS article claims the map was produced using information from FEMA as well as from other sources.Wyoming State Parks opened the Q-01 Missile Alert Facility (Launch Control Facility) as the newest state historic site. It originally stated that the map was issued by FEMA, but that was incorrect. This article was amended on February 10 2023. “Raising the alert of Russian nuclear forces is a bone-chilling development,” UN Secretary-General António Guterres said last year. “We are not just fighting with Ukraine, but with the collective West,” Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said. “As for the idea that Russia wouldn’t use such weapons first under any circumstances, then it means we wouldn’t be able to be the second to use them either - because the possibility to do so in case of an attack on our territory would be very limited,” he said. “If a potential adversary believes it is possible to use the theory of a preventive strike, and we do not, then this still makes us think about those threats that are posed to us,” he added. No one was shy when they talked about it out loud in previous times and years,” he said. “So if we’re talking about this disarming strike, then maybe think about adopting the best practices of our American partners and their ideas for ensuring their security. We, on the other hand, have formulated a retaliatory strike in our strategy,” Mr Putin during a press conference, referring to the US and Russia, according to CNN. “They have it in their strategy, in the documents it is spelt out - a preventive blow. Mr Putin said in December that Russia may change its policy of not being the first to use nuclear arms in a military conflict. “To defend Russia and our people, we doubtlessly will use all weapons resources at our disposal,” he said. He claimed that the West was employing “nuclear blackmail” and said Russia has “various means of destruction” in a threat directed at the US and Europe. Late in 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened to use nuclear weapons not just in Ukraine. Russia responded by rejecting the claims and accusing the US of not following the agreement. Last month, the State Department noted that Russia isn’t adhering to the last active nuclear arms agreement with the US, which was renewed in 2021. Other possible targets include Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami, and Philadelphia. The cities have infrastructure considered to be vital to the workings of the country, such as financial centres, government agencies and energy plants. Irwin Redlener at Columbia University specialises in disaster preparedness and notes that there are six cities in the US that are more likely to be targeted in a nuclear attack – New York, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington DC. However, FEMA provides information to the public to help them prepare for a potential hazardous or radiological event through .” A spokesman for the organisation said: “FEMA does not, and has not, released any type of formal map of potential nuclear targets. FEMA, however, has distanced itself from the map. It claims to have used data from the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), Medicine and Global Survival, and the National Resources Defense Council. The map appears to date back to an article from US broadcaster CBS in 2015. The map was initially issued in 2015 (FEMA) As we continue to monitor updates, we will adjust our policies as needed.
